The Eeyou Istchee Regional Health Centre is a new 23,315 m² hospital and community health centre that will be located in Chisasibi and serve the Cree Nation of Eeyou Istchee. The project replaces an outdated hospital from 1980 and will greatly expand the medical services offered. The new facility includes a 52-bed hospital with ambulatory services, diagnostic and therapeutic services, clinics, and administrative support.
In addition, the facility will include a Community Miyupimaatisiiun Centre (CMC), which offers frontline services such as medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, psychological, allied, and other specialized health services. The new state-of-the-art hospital will improve access to healthcare for the region.

Figurr Architects Collective is working in consortium with Lemay and Jodoin Lamarre Pratte Architectes on this important project. The team is honoured to work with the CBHSSJB and the community on this project.
