June 26, 2019 - Announcement
The Tweed Visitor Centre was selected for publication in the 2019 “Manuel de référence” of the AAPPQ (Association des architectes en pratique privée du Québec). The reference manual is the annual publication of the AAPPQ. A promotional tool and a showcase for the expertise of member architectural firms, it is also a practical tool for those who have a construction, renovation or expansion project.

About the project...

A high-quality publication, the manual presents: a selection of inspirational projects from member offices, linked to a different theme each year; a directory of member offices by municipality; a directory of suppliers of products and services, publication advertisers and AAPPQ partners.

Located in the small town of Smiths Falls, Ontario, this project consists of a development for a cannabis interpretation centre in the former Hershey building. A fascinating and interactive way to learn about cannibis and its history from the inside out, the Tweed Visitor Centre includes a boutique, a café-lounge and a small cafeteria. A mezzanine overlooks grow rooms and products derived from cannabis.
