PARK(ing) Day is an annual event that brings together artists, citizens, elected officials and organizations to temporarily transform parking spaces into convivial public places, and in doing so create a debate about optimization of the public space.
As an architectural firm, we wanted to bring the architecture out of the walls. With a view to reuse, we collected old paper plans to build origami cubes. The shape of the cube represents the base of both physical and digital construction. Hence the idea of a black, gray, and white monochromatic raster image representing our city, our work, our canvas: Montreal.
