For this large piece of land, located at the intersection of two major arteries in Montreal’s Saint-Laurent borough, the firm designed a complex of three residential buildings of varying heights, set around a central green space. Phase 1 of the project consists of a seven-storey L-shaped building providing a broad variety of apartments, studios, one- or two-bedroom units, and two-storey or penthouse-type units.

Considerable effort went into designing a complex with the possibility of obtaining LEED certification after it was built. Rainwater management, green roofs, materials with low toxic emissions – a whole series of measures were set out. Another particularity of this project is that a municipal pumping station currently on the site will be incorporated into it. In exchange, the developers benefit from an opportunity to erect buildings exceeding the usual density standards.

The three residential buildings will have a certain number of spaces for retail or office use on the ground floor. An underground parking lot will connect the buildings to one another.
